yes, the babe was born. here's a hospital pic and one from when they finally got out of the hospital, while spidey was holding him...ozzy and rob zombie looking after him in the background.
ah this weekend was fun! hunni bunni brought dinner home on friday. roastbeast sammich, chicken breast sammich, some dipping grill bread with spinach and artichoke dip, mozz. sticks. he also had another gifty for me. i showered him wiff gifties (things he needed...chocolate, car cd holder, the cats got him a mug that has thier likenesses on it, HUGGING...and the cats put stinky gummy feet in the mug). i had also made him a death movie of me creeping up and kissing him...i had glued the pics to flippable pad so you flip thru it like a movie. also made him a card from the cats and one from me. on saturday we rented a canoe and took it on the bayou for about 2 hours...pictures another time, i used a disposable waterable camera, but haven't finished the roll yet.
sunday we visited spidey. the hospital krewe (9 including babe) stopped by thier house after being released. so, we didn't go climbing or see a movie (lost movie card). maybe next weekend.
got groceries today. guess we'll have a fruit salad one evening, picked up pears, apples, raisins, bananas. got more squash and zucchini. beans. turkey sausage, reg. ground turkey. and muffin mix for breffast next weekend. havin' chicken tonight.
there was this parmesean/bread crumb chicken fingers dish that spidey makes. a few weeks ago, i forgot to get the recipe from her, but was dying to try it. so i made up a recipe after she told me it was parm cheese, and buttermilk (milk/vinegar). let the chicken pieces sit and tenderize in some milk and egg that has about a tablespoon of vinegar in it (it's a buttermilk fake-out) with some seasoning. then put some wax paper in the bottom of a big wide bowl. put your bread crumbs, seasoning and parmesean in it (stir). plop wet chicken in it after it has sat about 30 minutes in the wet mix. use the wax paper to scoot chicken and crumbs around so when you reach in to finish the job, you won't get wet fingers that clump up with crumbs. then you fry them. OR... i baked them. cover them with foil during first part of cooking so the parm doesn't burn too much. then when you think they are just about done. take foil off to let them crisp up.
we may do that chicken again tonight. the other day i just seasoned the chick with garlic pepper salt, put it in some foiul, added some stir fry frozen veggies. closed up foil, baked about 30-40 minutes on about 375, maybe? smelled good, tastes almost boiled though (cause the foil makes it steam cook).
had spam sammiches last week..... including friday, for lunch, so i couldn't even eat the special valentine meal...well, i ate the dipping bread. we ate the rest of the food the rest of the weekend. chinese food on sunday...hunnied chicken hunnied chicken hunnied chicken...need to start a cult. that chicken deserves to be worshipped.
need to hit a coinstar this week, change jar is full. made a job list jar, to make weekend decisions easier. have too many cans to be recycled also, and a couple bags of stuff that need to be donated. spidey...you know where the recycle place is by you? i may have to go there if i don't find a place closer to me. i keep forgetting to get instructions to it from you.

dessert was, gosh dog it, i think the best i have ever tasted in my short life. if you like chocolate. it was called molten fudge cake. no description can describe how good and rich this sweet was. it was devilsfood chocolate cake with fudge imbedded in it, scoop of vanilla icecream, caramel drizzle all over, and a chocolate shell on top icecream. it was really a 3-person dessert, but somehow me and mr. man crammed it.
in yet other news...the on-going battle between kit fisto and death continues. i have woke up in the morning to find them on the floor exhausted from fighting all the time.
and lastly...he hits her from behind, she lances him with his own saber
vacation was different. didn't want to have to leave the water on for 3 days because of the freeze. we stayed home and did things that we have been needing to do almost as long as we've been living here (a decent amount of time).
we got a bird feeder!!! and the birds love it! made a scarf for spidey, but forgot to take a picture. and forgot to take a picture of the baby blanket and hat i crocheted. BOY that is a funny looking word. anyways, a friend that's about to give birth (like tomarrow) came by yesterday, i was able to finally get a prego picture of her (and give her the hat and blanket). i have the mural of the french quarter alley drawn on the landing in the backroom, just needing to paint it. picture when finished.
in the wait-while, here is a picture of the round blanket i am making out of yarn. growing some grass (from the birdseed) for the cats. they will be in kitty happiness. and trimmed the neighbors' vines that are over-taking my vehichle (which is fixed now), root-toned them and attempting to see if they will grow. velcro...a velcro easil to put my yarn work on while i work on it would be dandy...notice from the picture i don't REALLY know what i am doing in the crochet department, so instead of working from an edge or an outside to the inside... i'm doing it in reverse.
wish i woulda got a picture of the evil one once he realised he didn't have to sit on the crochet work to get me to stop...he relised he could dive-bomb the skein of yarn, roll around with it, and with it being so light, grabbing it in mouth and trying to take off with it.
poor puppy next door (this is a pic of him whining to me, while i am upstairs), is not seeming to be left out as much. i have finally been getting some sleep, but mainly i hope he is doing better.
here is that picture of the sheperds pie. contrary to known opinion, i can make meals that take longer than 15 minutes. that one not included. ugh, making funnel cakes....puh. if we do it again, hunni will do it. they were too oily and soaked up the sugar.
pork and...slices of onion in baking pan, rice and mushrooms on top, garlic, broth, sprinkled cornstarch, frozen peas and carrots, pork chops on onions, add seasoning on top, cover. bake an 45min-hour @ 350. i knew mine was finished cooking when i started hearing the oven drip and sizzle. lifted foil top off to let steam out, pulled it out the oven to check meat doneness and rice soakage. i like these pork bake-em deals cause the meat flavours the rice and everything flavours the meat. the rice is yummy cooked in the broth. wish i woulda just used carrots and squash, instead of the mushrooms and peas, though. the big thing about this dish, the way the meat smells, just divine. that is what i like my hunni to come home to.
here is the small but happy
hunni got a picture of our
LOL, ok, i thought "not gunna make anyone hungry" would keep readers away, cause i knew the subject matter was a bit queasy
yesterday was a mellow day. had brought her in, she slept the first part of the day, but when i got back from errands, gave her a new toy...things started to roll. she decided to sleep with her new toy-friend,
look out the window with the new friend,
play horsey with it (notice her back),
bathe together,
and play peek-a-boo, too!
now, mind you, this toy looks like the other cat in the house, and he didn't get a new toy, so he is miffed and just keeps looming over thier party.
today is the start of the weekend! gotta drop off my car, visit, replant some of the aloe, probably go see a movie, create something with my hunni, make pie, stop by vet, get some bike riding or walking in, enjoy a sunset, make groceries, entertain/feed cats, and hopefully get some home repair done!
well, if i don't feel like the worstest parent... the ONE night i don't say goodnight to one of my cats...they ended up up outside on the screened-in porch ALL night long. she feels fine, looks fine, is still talking to me. and i hate to say this, but i think it was good cause when i went out there later to check for potty issues, i found only spit up. well, i think it was spit-up. it appeared to have rice in it, but i knew she hadn't gotten into any rice. when i cleaned it up, noticed the rice looked attached and kinda stretched. so i am looking around on-line to see if i can figure out what it is before we hit the vet. i think it is tapeworm, but it doesn't look the same as the pictures i have found. here are the other interesting pages i found while on my quest:
and teaser on the new marker picture and inspiration pic. better one 'nother time.
