  • yes, the babe was born. here's a hospital pic and one from when they finally got out of the hospital, while spidey was holding him...ozzy and rob zombie looking after him in the background.

ah this weekend was fun! hunni bunni brought dinner home on friday. roastbeast sammich, chicken breast sammich, some dipping grill bread with spinach and artichoke dip, mozz. sticks. he also had another gifty for me. i showered him wiff gifties (things he needed...chocolate, car cd holder, the cats got him a mug that has thier likenesses on it, HUGGING...and the cats put stinky gummy feet in the mug). i had also made him a death movie of me creeping up and kissing him...i had glued the pics to flippable pad so you flip thru it like a movie. also made him a card from the cats and one from me. on saturday we rented a canoe and took it on the bayou for about 2 hours...pictures another time, i used a disposable waterable camera, but haven't finished the roll yet.

sunday we visited spidey. the hospital krewe (9 including babe) stopped by thier house after being released. so, we didn't go climbing or see a movie (lost movie card). maybe next weekend.

got groceries today. guess we'll have a fruit salad one evening, picked up pears, apples, raisins, bananas. got more squash and zucchini. beans. turkey sausage, reg. ground turkey. and muffin mix for breffast next weekend. havin' chicken tonight.

there was this parmesean/bread crumb chicken fingers dish that spidey makes. a few weeks ago, i forgot to get the recipe from her, but was dying to try it. so i made up a recipe after she told me it was parm cheese, and buttermilk (milk/vinegar). let the chicken pieces sit and tenderize in some milk and egg that has about a tablespoon of vinegar in it (it's a buttermilk fake-out) with some seasoning. then put some wax paper in the bottom of a big wide bowl. put your bread crumbs, seasoning and parmesean in it (stir). plop wet chicken in it after it has sat about 30 minutes in the wet mix. use the wax paper to scoot chicken and crumbs around so when you reach in to finish the job, you won't get wet fingers that clump up with crumbs. then you fry them. OR... i baked them. cover them with foil during first part of cooking so the parm doesn't burn too much. then when you think they are just about done. take foil off to let them crisp up.

we may do that chicken again tonight. the other day i just seasoned the chick with garlic pepper salt, put it in some foiul, added some stir fry frozen veggies. closed up foil, baked about 30-40 minutes on about 375, maybe? smelled good, tastes almost boiled though (cause the foil makes it steam cook).

had spam sammiches last week..... including friday, for lunch, so i couldn't even eat the special valentine meal...well, i ate the dipping bread. we ate the rest of the food the rest of the weekend. chinese food on sunday...hunnied chicken hunnied chicken hunnied chicken...need to start a cult. that chicken deserves to be worshipped.

need to hit a coinstar this week, change jar is full. made a job list jar, to make weekend decisions easier. have too many cans to be recycled also, and a couple bags of stuff that need to be donated. spidey...you know where the recycle place is by you? i may have to go there if i don't find a place closer to me. i keep forgetting to get instructions to it from you.

  • XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOX

i want to post it on every billboard in the world. i want to post how wonderful you are. the things you do. the things we do. the silly love we have. the passionate love we have. i cry over how much i love you and the fact that i feel like there is nothing that shows that love. there is nothing i could do or buy that would encompass what i feel for you.

i got the rose pen and heart pez. thank you my awesome hunni! i will use them everyday for the rest of my life.

and thank you for the kiss this morning, i'll never wash my face again.

    happy valentines everyone!

    XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOX

  • SOUTHWESTERN EGGROLLS yes, i forgot to mention the chili's we went to was new, kinda why i wanted to go. don't think i'd ever been there with my hunni bunni. looks like the only state in the u.s. that doesn't have a chilis is montana. started off with southwestern eggrolls. could've had them for a meal all by  themselves. it was only 3 eggrolls cut in half to make 6 pieces, but they were filling. for the meal, hunni got this awesome tuna steak sandwhich w/ fries. ok, the bread was just normal hamburger bread, but the tuna steak was brillant! i got a chicken ceasar pita, also with fries. which i only ate half of and managed to drop the rest when i got home

MOLTEN CHOCOLATE CAKEdessert was, gosh dog it, i think the best i have ever tasted in my short life. if you like chocolate. it was called molten fudge cake. no description can describe how good and rich this sweet was. it was devilsfood chocolate cake with fudge imbedded in it, scoop of vanilla icecream, caramel drizzle all over, and a chocolate shell on top icecream. it was really a 3-person dessert, but somehow me and mr. man crammed it.

man, right before my recent disappearance, i had ordered some food from a place called cafe roma. there aren't many places that deliver aside from pizza. even chinese food you have to go pick up. so anyhow i opened the phone book (that my hunni bunni makes, of course) and actually found cafe roma and it read that it delivered, so i surprised my hunni that night with a cafe roma special sandwhich, roastbeef for me, a spinach lasagne just incase, and it came with some cheese bread and ceasar salad. all for about $21!!! cafe roma specialises in specialty pizzas, i think sean wants to try the shrimp one day. i like chicken pizza, myself.

ok, so onto something other than food. i forgot to mention we also got new shades for the upstairs while on vacation, and weatherstriping for the doors, a nail for the hairbrush to go on...

in yet other news...the on-going battle between kit fisto and death continues. i have woke up in the morning to find them on the floor exhausted from fighting all the time.

the first fight picture started as a headlock, but like i said, they ended up onn the floor. the second picture he is crushing her windpipe with his boot.

and lastly...he hits her from behind, she lances him with his own saber

  • vacation was different. didn't want to have to leave the water on for 3 days because of the freeze. we stayed home and did things that we have been needing to do almost as long as we've been living here (a decent amount of time).

we got a bird feeder!!! and the birds love it! made a scarf for spidey, but forgot to take a picture. and forgot to take a picture of the baby blanket and hat i crocheted. BOY that is a funny looking word. anyways, a friend that's about to give birth (like tomarrow) came by yesterday, i was able to finally get a prego picture of her (and give her the hat and blanket). i have the mural of the french quarter alley drawn on the landing in the backroom, just needing to paint it. picture when finished.

in the wait-while, here is a picture of the round blanket i am making out of yarn. growing some grass (from the birdseed) for the cats. they will be in kitty happiness. and trimmed the neighbors' vines that are over-taking my vehichle (which is fixed now), root-toned them and attempting to see if they will grow. velcro...a velcro easil to put my yarn work on while i work on it would be dandy...notice from the picture i don't REALLY know what i am doing in the crochet department, so instead of working from an edge or an outside to the inside... i'm doing it in reverse.

wish i woulda got a picture of the evil one once he realised he didn't have to sit on the crochet work to get me to stop...he relised he could dive-bomb the skein of yarn, roll around with it, and with it being so light, grabbing it in mouth and trying to take off with it.

hunni bunni found me a kreepy kelly clock. it is the best! i saw it on sale, but hunni had already got it for me before i asked. hunni also screwed in the ceiling, put up a towel rack, rearranged the bedroom, worked on his wooden maze, drank his beer, fixed the leaky sink, mowed the grass and took me to chili's and we decorated a table together.

poor puppy next door (this is a pic of him whining to me, while i am upstairs), is not seeming to be left out as much. i have finally been getting some sleep, but mainly i hope he is doing better.

made chili last night. i still LOVE my chili. even after trying about 300 or so chilis at that cook-off last year (yeah, it's about that time again!!!), i still crave my own. maybe because i seem to be the only person in the world who likes beans in it.

  • here is that picture of the sheperds pie. contrary to known opinion, i can make meals that take longer than 15 minutes. that one not included. ugh, making funnel cakes....puh. if we do it again, hunni will do it. they were too oily and soaked up the sugar.

made a scalloped/au gratin potatoes with ham in it. layer in baking pan: sliced onion, potatoe slices, onion, ham, (cheese), potatoe, and a mixture of water/milk, and flour poured over top (to fill-the part i didn't do which is why the papas on top didn't cook as quick as rest). cover. took FORever to cook, but was really tasty.

pork and...slices of onion in baking pan, rice and mushrooms on top, garlic, broth, sprinkled cornstarch, frozen peas and carrots, pork chops on onions, add seasoning on top, cover. bake an 45min-hour @ 350. i knew mine was finished cooking when i started hearing the oven drip and sizzle. lifted foil top off to let steam out, pulled it out the oven to check meat doneness and rice soakage. i like these pork bake-em deals cause the meat flavours the rice and everything flavours the meat. the rice is yummy cooked in the broth. wish i woulda just used carrots and squash, instead of the mushrooms and peas, though. the big thing about this dish, the way the meat smells, just divine. that is what i like my hunni to come home to.

smell-o-vision would be the only way to show amazment when i cook. smelling the food, i know i did it right. when i smell baked goods, that means they're finished. if i smell something burning...it's already too late, it's burnt, just open the rubbish pail for me.

when you're young it's taught to try everything, taught to clean the plate, etc... WELL, when i got out on my own, i finally rebelled. it happened to be with food. i decided i would live off of stove-top stuffing, candybars and twinkies. then i ended up having friends who worked at a convienience store. that added hotdogs and sodas to my menu. then a friend started working at KFC. then i hooked up with people who made balanced meals everynight and dessert. this was when i changed my eatting habits. i would actually try stuff that i wouldn't have even looked at, without vomiting, before. i still do not like a lot of stuff, but most of the stuff i don't like, i have usually tried one thing i kinda liked it in.

somethings i used to hate but love now: red beans, black    beans, lasagna, quiche, broccoli, peas, squash, zucchini
things that are gross but can be made edible: celery, bell    pepper, onions, spinach, artichoke, cream cheese, sourcream
things that still make me sick: sausage, pepperoni,    cheesecake, rye and pumpernickel bread, asparagus, papaya,    honeydew, canalope
things i am weening off: oil, spam, hotdogs, sandwich meat.

the dessert...that is the biggest part of my rebellion. decided i enjoyed it and that was a way i could always celebrate my freedom as an adult. sometimes i like to celebrate it several times a day.

the only downfall was that i ended up without a mirror or scale for a couple years. my clothes stopped fitting and i was like EEEEEK! what happened? figure i am at a healthier weight now anyways. not buggin about my weight, only the gradual slow-down of activities that helped me maintain. seems to help physically (offsets the dessert), mentally(frees my mind to think about more productive, non-self-defeating issues).

  • here is the small but happy pez army. there is a snowman MIA, and one other smileyface and possibly another snowman missing too. still have a sour b in the package, boba fett and jenga fett (sp?). at one time i think i used to have a snoopy. spider man, i've had the longest. he tilts, musta got stepped on at some point in time.

hunni got a picture of our kingcake. i'm sure he has something witty to say about it, but i just wanted to post it to show how much sugar they put on it. it's nuts! it has cinn. and sugar inside, some white icing on top and then a mound of purple, green and gold sugar granules. tried the strawberry creamcheese this time. i like apple more, and cholocolate when you can find it, and if it has a lot of choco in it, are yummy too.

other mardi gras links and krewes i looked around at... parade schedule, mardigrasdigest, rex, endymion, amon ra, armeinius, lords of leather, zulu, tucks, pegasus, orpheus, muses, morphius, bacchus, knights of chaos, and even one for the puppies: barkus!

a friend had a baby shower this weekend. i ended up with the left over cake. it has buttercup on it! i ate her feet.

been something weird in the air of this new year. it is starting to seem a lot like last year. i hope not. i'd like to get a lot more accomplished this year

mr. mans beer was beer. it was strong tasting but didn't leave an aftertaste as long as regular beer does. it looked like gold it was this crazy perfect beer, yellow colour.

i was thinking about things people surprise me with all my life this morning. once, in highschool a friend of mine had a dad that had been a promoter in the 70's...so he got me a photo his dad had taken of robert plant and some led postcards. blew me away. got a tiny little jewelry box that read "when this you see, remember me"...i thought the person i'd received it from knew that they were gunna die or something and that was why they gave it to me, but they didn't. hunni got me flowers for my graduation.  this little snoopy beanie spidey gave me. 3 surprise parties, spaced about 10 years apart. a surprise happy birthday song at a resturant i used to work at (by my friends/co-workers that worked there). the ankh choker my hunni found. the ankh my friends' sister found. and a necklace my hunni got me at lollapaluza before we got married.

  • LOL, ok, i thought "not gunna make anyone hungry" would keep readers away, cause i knew the subject matter was a bit queasy but thanks for all the funny, nice comments!

right now she is running around with "fuzzytail." which means she's caught a crazy. which means she is running around here with all of her fur puffed out, galloping around the house, tagging every toy she passes, looking at you, running up to you then shaking her head then bolting into the opposite direction.

yesterday was a mellow day. had brought her in, she slept the first part of the day, but when i got back from errands, gave her a new toy...things started to roll. she decided to sleep with her new toy-friend, look out the window with the new friend,

play horsey with it (notice her back),

bathe together, and play peek-a-boo, too!

now, mind you, this toy looks like the other cat in the house, and he didn't get a new toy, so he is miffed and just keeps looming over thier party.

she hasn't asked to go back outside.

    ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

later in the evening a few people came over, friends and family. it was entertaining, but strangely enough i had a dream about it. see, we brought the one that stayed out all night before up to bed wiff. cause if we don't bring her up, the other one will really hassle her about going up, so she just doesn't do it on her own anymore. so anyways, she takes my pillow and i have to keep an arm between her and the other cat. then later she moves to the far side of my pillow so i can use the other side, which puts me inbetween both kitties all night. but i constantly wake up, whether it is from her growling at him about to lunge at her or cause he constantly readjusts to sit on top of my face and head, or cause she trys to hold hands with me or my face but manages to stick those claws in. SO, my dream went from what happened that evening (people visiting) into people being here all night and me feeling like i got absolutely no sleep. which, of course, has to do with the cats, not our visitors. i'll probably have to take a nap today. feel so drained.

my wounded jeep. its a gasket (what i thought), but since certain things have to be taken off, this is the time to get the clutch done too since it is probably original. we'll have to bring it in to a friends shop. i think. i wasn't clear, but i guessed it was just less hassle and less things to have to rent if we just take it into the shop. it's all good!

today is the start of the weekend! gotta drop off my car, visit, replant some of the aloe, probably go see a movie, create something with my hunni, make pie, stop by vet, get some bike riding or walking in, enjoy a sunset, make groceries, entertain/feed cats, and hopefully get some home repair done!

    have a good one!

OH!!! and i figgered out how to make the images i was grabbing thru pryme from my digicam better! i went into the other cam program (webcam32) i use (for the webcam) and adjusted the image in that. dunno how it worked, just glad it did!

and hunnimon loved last nights' dinner. i took the impossible cheeseburger pie recipe from the bisquik, adapted and split it in half. made it with soyrizo (chorizo sausage made with soy not meat).

  • not gunna make anyone hungry today...

well, if i don't feel like the worstest parent... the ONE night i don't say goodnight to one of my cats...they ended up up outside on the screened-in porch ALL night long. she feels fine, looks fine, is still talking to me. and i hate to say this, but i think it was good cause when i went out there later to check for potty issues, i found only spit up. well, i think it was spit-up. it appeared to have rice in it, but i knew she hadn't gotten into any rice. when i cleaned it up, noticed the rice looked attached and kinda stretched. so i am looking around on-line to see if i can figure out what it is before we hit the vet. i think it is tapeworm, but it doesn't look the same as the pictures i have found. here are the other interesting pages i found while on my quest: extended years, doctor dog (they have a kitty corner too), vetinfor4cats, pets pedia, and pet toys.com.

everytime she goes to the vet he says she is healthy, so this probably isn't a big deal, but i may try to get her medicine anyways, maybe the worms are what are making her so large? i doubt it. her appetite is fine. once, well, that might totally gross anyone out. oh well. once she had worm things coming out of her butt, but that was fixed with a shot, years ago.

lets see, she doesn't have toxoplasmosis, because i do not feed her raw meat or infected animals and she isn't a poo investigator. reading about some of this stuff, my vet had told me way back that humans and animals couldn't catch anything (illnesses) from each other, but this toxo-thing says that humans can develop flu-like symptoms. blehck

all these things say i should basically be looking in her feces for clues, but there are none!!!

oh well, spidey needed to pop over here by me, so i must get ready so i can go run errands with! i wonder if i brought in the picture of the worms, if the vet could just give me some medicine?

  • a gubba gubba gubba

WELL, this weekend i ended up getting to bring home a floodlight. and i do mean it is some sort of super-bright light. it puts off a bit of heat once it warms and brightens all the way. so i brought it in the house to see if it would help warm the room i was processing in (the cookbook). when i noticed it was as bright as the sun, i decided to turn on the cameras to see how much better the cameras work when they can see.

the bfbg always seems to blend in. absorbs light.

the kitchen sink PLOP has been doing this drip thing. PLOP yesterday it about made me mad. i'm PLOP actually collecting the water in gallon jugs PLOP and using it for cooking. PLOP

found this place to buy cake stuff at, country kitchen sweet art. (i like the cat pan) was originally looking for a dome cake pan and would fill it with clowns and pirates without telling anyone. they have some coloured sugar i want too. when i was little, i was allowed to put a teaspoon of coloured sugar in my rice krispies

oh and the illusive snow white and seven dwarfs cake toppers (i could never find them in town without ordering a cake, long story that doesn't really matter to anyone but me). they had a SUV cake-making pan, that would be really funny with a bunch of clowns hidden in it.

i REALLY have no idea what i'm making for dinner tonight. last night we just did stuffed papas. oh those dots from dominos...they were pretty tasty, if you like cinnamon toast.

    PLOP

  • GAW... :D

that grilled meat was sooooo good

watching akira again tomarrow night. wondering what on earth the groceries will be tomarrow. am full as a tick but feel the need for chocolate milk. that chocolate cream pie earlier today was REALLY good too. i can't believe i ate such a huge piece. if that was the last chocolate pie i ever had, i am thankful! finally drank the pear ale...ouch, it was tart, but i'd try it again.

    ------------------------------

and thank you xanga gods for making my tagchat refresh in the skin. must be due to those changes. cool!

and teaser on the new marker picture and inspiration pic. better one 'nother time.
