pictures
of my first
spring rose pruning

second time attempting a rose. first one i picked by colour. this time i picked by smell. it was a toss-up between one that read 'heavy rose fragrance' and 'very fragrant'. they were that. both really strong. i picked the second one. rich lavender floribunda (angelface). it's pretty and all, but when i saw the digital camera pics, i was like. cooooooool at the aquatic gardens on saturday, sean picked up a rattail hanging cactus, also!
made several more tiled backgrounds from one of the rose pictures just putting the dark one and light one up today. it's just a floating rose i sorta swiped away the stem. the pictures today are bigger and better quality today cause i got them straight from the camera instead of the rigged bit!!! (they're actually all bigger i adjusted the ht and wd for this entry, just right click to choose to save or set as background on desktop) the dark background is my favorite

my cactus is cool

pretty
that rose is so beautiful
That's very pretty. And it's not gonna die! When I planted my rose in the ground I put some time release plant food in the ground. I just bought a whole big thing of it. I'm gonna give you some next time I see ya. Maybe that's the magic potion.
just fantastic. ive planted an azalea and creeping phlox and youd think i was commissioned to do the white house rose garden or biltmore!
im pathetic.

gaw i hope so!!! one time i tried to use time release and my plant died...come to find out the particular plant was specifically not supposed to have time released fertilizer. but i am willing to try what you got. sean picked up soil that had fertilizer in it(it's probably ortho or miracle grow). so i'm not sure if i'd be able to add more. what i am going to need, if i find out all the rest of these leaves (i took a few more off, i am so paranoid about the spots...come to find out, it gets it's diseases from the water touching the leaves, so only water around the base of your rose, crazy, huh?!) are with a disease, is a fungicide. (some kind of sulfur/soap deal).
but you know what.....those time release dealies you have...i bet they would help out my front garden. the bulbs (oriental hybrid lily-yellow/red; dinnerplate dahlia, yellow/orange), i planted way back...they are not supposed to show up til summer. so since sean wants to see plants, as soon as i have a not too cold morning, i'll be planting the fern stuff and the grass
(found out my grass that does flowers is a 'large grass lily' plant). and the grass that is thin leaved with no flowers, that is the mongo grass.
also found out, my spring and fall bloomer bulb, the white one. it is called amaryllis. it has a slight smell and i think if you have enough of them with smell, they are supposed to cut down on the mosquitos wanting to be there.
just found some old seeds from a plant (i think it has yellow flowers), that was on your fence in the front. can't find the morning glory seeds i had stashed. found old watermelon seeds and herb seeds too. i'll try to grow them all, but they are old seeds so...
invite me to dinner and I'll give you the most satisfying smile ever! curry chicken just sounded so damn good!
i would, but don't you live in turkey?
I need to prune my roses this weekend. Not sure what kind they are, hopfully they smell nice, else I will have to dig em out and plant a different kind.
if you get rid of them, i'll take them. but we live far away from each other, i bet the shipping would be nuts
