  • tortilla 101

WHY can't i take my own advice? (i already typed all this up once and forgot to copy it, and it got disappeared, lemme see if i can do it again)

    knead 5 minutes, rest 15, roll 1/8th inch, 1 1/2 min. cook each side @ 420.

the one above was the last one, it looks real good. one below is well done but still edible. there is a stack that are way overdone, they resemble cardboard- i tried to do them in the oven, but wasn't paying attention . so i had to make another batch to try in the pan.

finally got to try it, with apricot preserves. what it tasted like? flat bisquit. preserves make everything better.

things like this that don't come out exactly like they do commercially, are great for camping trips. by the time dinner time rolls around, we're hungry...that flat bread dipped in gravy and potatoes and soup....mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

    happy happy happy

    day spidey!!!

it's your first birthday, being married!!!

gunna try to make homemade tortillas this morning. actually i got up at 6am something. thought i could whip up a batch of tortillas , like *that* so i could eat one with honey for breakfast. no such luck. mix up mix, let sit to rise for 15 minutes, etc. so, i'm here

i read a bunch of varied subscriptions. different physical ages, different job situations, different hobbies, different lifestyles, different hang-ups. we all have one thing in common, we hang at xanga. maybe it's once a month, once a week or every day. we all use it as a soapbox. i think most people enjoy the interaction of strangers, else we wouldn't have joined. i want to meet more xanga people. i can't believe there are like so few for meet ups (i hear it's like that in a few other cities from my readers, also).

nah, i didn't fuck myself. and besides i can't ask them to pick up the butts if they didn't put them there, i am really thinking it is the mower dude. and if it isn't him, then that girl who used to live here, musta been a visitor last weekend and did it out of old spite. you know icp has this song with ODB, 'bitches.' i like that song a lot.

them butts have fingerprints , i see CSI, i know it can all be tracked. and you, who, said "...karma...butts", yeah, you right, it will.

ok, so, like pics another time of the tortillas, hopefully they rose.

  • Wish I'd met you guys when I was in the neighborhood.  Might have liked the place a lot better if I had met some cool folks such as yourselves.

Hope the tortillas turn out.  Sounds yummy!

  • Thank you.

I think it was self proclaimed or someone either gave her that name, but I have heard her call herself James Brown on many occasions.  And I was just being silly.  And no, they don't have xanga sites.  Why'd you think that?

Cheesecake Bistro is a lot like Copelands, Strayas and Wrap and Roll all mixed up.  The food there is sooo good.  They also have lots of other deserts other than just cheesecake.  You'll like it, I'm sure.

  • yeah, we need to get our hands on one of those blue lights and the magic spray bottle

  • i thought they had xanga sites cause i was oblivious as to the name james brown, that's all. so i assumed you were referring to a xanga name, so i thought they had a site....get it? yeah i don't get it about the name, actually, you guys know her better. when her mom called up here for her, she was like "i'm looking for jaimie brown, you may know her as filizola?" i was like OOOOOO, K, then. i knew her as brians friend who enjoyed to colour in colouring books and nothing else. that was the only way i knew of jaimie until she got back from working on the cruise (as massage person)(everytime i saw her, she was trippin).

  • yummy

  • it's official - YOU ARE KILLING ME.

  • Oh, okay, I get it now.  Maybe it's a family thing then, I never knew her mom called her that.  I didn't know she liked to color in coloring books either, so maybe I don't know her that well.

  • honey and apricot tortillas! wow!! i never thought of that ...thanks!!

yup..its NIN's hurt that mr. cash is wailing...so beautiful.

  • I'll try not to hate you for comparing him to posh spice! :-p No, seriously, you have a point there.. although I'd rather not think about that any longer!

  • heeheeheeheeheeheehe@ wickedkitty.

  • If  you make tortillas... I'll be there
