  • i'm not over sensitive

    i'm under lenient

    i use many run-on sentences.

finally broke down and deleted lots of people i was reading. so many people i could relate to, but couldn't comment to. others, since i did not catch them in my sir, wonder if that meant blocked? i know! i would still like to knock my list down to under 30. some post infrequently or spasmodically like me (sometimes i'll be around many days at a time, sometimes i'm gone for over a month). so those are most of the ones i kept besides the ones i reciprocate...it's not about the props. it's about feeling like we can joke or not be taken the wrong way. i hate offending people. if i do not respond to you it is because i do not want to offend because written words can be so flat. if i am not subbed to and you want me to blather at your site, drop me a hey yo in a comment. honestly i would comment more ...jokes that is....but i don't come off funny to strangers.  his family doesn't quite get me either. it's all good. as i grow, i learn.

  • up at 3am this morning thinking about how much crap was probably in my email box. and being hungry.

got a bunch of crazy quilt squares made with all the scraps i been saving since before i had a sewing machine (and some since before i had real fabric, shreds of old clothes). fooled with the yarn a bit. he made dinner. gazpachio (fasc). cold soup. i need red meat.

took most of the bread from the freezer (ends and onesies and such), made it into croutons. thinking about making a casserole with cream soup, the croutons and i dunno what else yet, i was just thinking how good stove top would b in a casserole... making chili tonight. they have cooked ground meat now (like the tuna in the foil envelopes), making chili with it tonight and bought some chili seasoning that donates to a bird fund.

decided a tour of the house was too tough to photograph without taking pictures of each wall in each room, so decided to sorten the tour to just a bit of decor.

first four are from the first room (tv room).

a second room shelf. and the monkeys, hmbunni and a boomerrang in the computer room.

a few of the kitchen. one of the laundry corner in the back room (notice we are running out of room for stuff in the house-see it stacked). the stairs to the up-it makes you think of a boat- i love it, it will be the one thing about this house i will really be sad to not have any longer.

  • a cicada left 18 presents on our century plant. i think they're eggs. we saw the cicada there in the evening just before bedtime. when i woke up in the morning i rushed out to see if it was still there or if it had left it's shell (i have a collection of cicada husks). found the egg discs instead. they look hard, didn't touch them.

oh, babygirl, if it weren't for you, holding that lid up with your nose and back leg, i dunno how we would keep the chest open.

sometimes a swively, cocoa crunch, 3-inch, spoon is the only clean utensil. the head swivels all the way down to the spoon, you can imagine how fun that is.

    cats like to eat games.

this quilt was made under the influence of sloppy joes, chocolate milk, little white powdered donuts, orange capuccino, and mcdonalds. actually, it's just the front. still have to give it a back and guts, and quilt. (1)pieced as squares before cutting into triangles,(2)nepal in the living room; triangles sewn together, (3)all squares ironed and stacked, (4)the inside and first border completely sewn, next border just laying there.

  •  was told earlier in the week to round up some NICE clothes. for IN CASE i was maybe to go out. MAYbe on a date. was told that it MAY or MAY NOT be friday or saturday so i had to be ready... and on friday i was catching on so i had to suggest i didn't MAKE dinner til he came home. so he tells me i MIGHT plan on a LATE dinner (7). IF we were even doing anything... DID get dressed.  did drive around and was COMPLETELY clueless to what the evening was. turned out to be a preview party for (xmas)celebration in the oaks. cocktail dress type gig. yup. lots of music everywhere. happy dressed-as-santas-helpers-tap dancers.  kept seeing familiar faces and was thinking to myself  "where do i know that person..." *BING*  tv. there were, like, local tv personalities (no one i could put a name to, just people when i run across some local channels they're in shows i don't watch. a little strange. there was free food and drink. and i mean DRINKS.  food from A LOT of restuarants (little bowls to try) and stuff. champagne, wine, liquors, crazy apple martini. cohfee(cdm).  we ate  CRAWFISH ETOUFFE (billy's place), spicy coconut SHRIMP, chicken alfredo(lousiana pizza kitchen), blackened chicken pasta alfredo(doubletree hotel), bbq pork and corn pudding(voo doo bbq), stew(christian's restaurant), french onion soup(with a garlic cheese bread drowning in it -from cafe degas), carrot cake, peppermint chocolate fudge candy, oatmeal lace cookie, reindeer cookie, carrot cake, chocolate chip/CRANBERRYJELLY cookie(!!!) coconut macaroon, CHOCOLATE coconut macaroon. THEN we got on the CAROUSEL. BLEH! no, i kept the cookies down.

wanted to ride the train but we got to the station too late. ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL ABOOOOOOOOOARD!

the voo doo stuff was very yummy. the beef stuff from christians melted in the mouth. not the taste, but the texture. the choclate coconut macaroon...primosweeto.

(picture is a jumble of business cards, program, rose, matchbook, fake bill business card...the guy on the bill and the billy from the blue card actually gave us our food)

  • it's finished. finally finished. for the last few weekends we've been smoothing out upstairs bedroom walls for painting. it's a blue colour. i'd be glad to never have to deal with spackle dust for the rest of my life. but that won't happen. then couldn't find any of our sheet sets. had to break down and buy another set this morning. they're like a tan with a brown grid (under the quilt and weaved blanket. we also broke down and rearranged the room. i have a nightstand again. and a 'my side of the bed'! i'd cleaned the house earlier this week, then this weekend, the whole house got mussed up with the whole bedroom ordeal (i don't know either, just happens) i managed to lose control of the clothing situation too.

the double broiler bottom pan and lid either got tossed or loaned out, so he wasn't able to make blancmange (the type of pudding). tried to locate one that wasn't too expensive...even kmart didn't have one. martha stewart has taken over that store. if she doesn't make it, then they don't see fit to sell it. sucky.

also at the store this morning, while getting the sheets, i picked up some dark chocolate covered cherries. they are a wonderful thing.

making brownies again. melt 4 1/2 TBSP of cocoa with 6 TBSP butter. add 1/2 cup sugar, 1cup light brown sugar (if i were in a bind, i'd just use regular sugar here, too), 1 cup flour, 2 eggs (healthier with 4 whites whipped instead, but i'm lazy), 1 tsp vanilla, then 1/2 c nuts and 1/2 c chips (your choice of flavor)(or just 1 cup nuts, no chips). cook in a greased and floured 9x9 @ 350 for 25-30 minutes.

ha ha ha ha ha i went through 4 needles bending and breaking on the sewing machine before i realised i'd accidentally left the setting on zig zag and when i pushed the position setting to the right, it went further left. kachung kachunk snap.

  • yae! lunar eclipse! yae, early birthday for someone and a goodbye for 2 1/2, dinner this evening. yum texas roadhouse. sirloin veggies mashed potatoes. big ol' brownie shared by all (well, except one and 1/2 others). the bread just can't get any better. i must figure how to make THAT bread.

  • boy this looked great a minute ago. crappy now. weird. anyways. dew drops on the clovers looked like little pearls.
the material is a little bright, but the body pillows now match! used 10 of the ickiest pink/purple buttons i could find as closures. they actually look great with the material.

survivor night. i already miss nip/tuck. still watch fear factor. everything in rerun. watercolour books almost filled. writing on the side (not something i have done before).

  • some material and patterns were donated to me (body pillow slipcovers, here i come)  had surprise lunch at serranos (eh). visited family. sugar burst this week (coming in from groceries), better than soda sticky. went on unexpected spree for clothes (target clearance). bought some dominos. h-i-mon gunna make homemade chocolate pudding this week! got a start on holiday gifts. gave away one of the eggplant plants (last week). separated ferns. bit tongue (figuratively).
