  • pasta bake: can of (green) enchilada sauce (14-16 oz), 1/2 cup rotell tomatoes and hot peppers, 1/4 cup baby brussel sprouts(4), 1/4 cup (one small) bell pepper, 1/2 cup (or so) diced turkey spam, cup of pasta, 1/2 cup cheese. mix together. grease pan. dump. cook 375 about 35-40 minutes. until pasta is soft. push down any drying out pasta and add 1/2 cup more cheese to top. cook another 5 minutes or so. let pasta stand about 5 minutes.

upsidepears: took those two cut up, freezer pears that filled the whip cream bowl, squeezed and drained liquid away. add 1/4 cup oil or melted butter (i used 1/3 and it leaked out, causing smoke to billow from oven), and 1/3 cup sugar (brown, unrefined, white). stir well. grease muffin pan. distribute pear mixture to the 12 cups. in another bowl, mix up: 2 1/4 cup bisquick, 2/3 cup milk, 2 TBSP sugar. spoon this mixture on top of pears. bake @ 425 until they look like yummy bisquits (11 minutes). place cookie sheet on top of muffin pan. flip. leave pan on a couple minutes. pick pan up slowly while letting bisquit muffins fall to cookie sheet. warm and sticky. use a pineapple and cherry instead of pears and you have an upside down pineapple muffin...like at mckenzies.

while eating halloween candy (i picked up piss you off miniature tootsie pops and foaming mouth gum)...i noticed my tootsie pop didn't have the tootsie inside. i love the idea of foaming mouth gum. i wonder if any children will be rushed to the emergency room for rabies.
went to put dinner away this weekend and we ended up cleaning the fridge!!!

monday i picked up another cactus. this one miniature, a mouse tail, to go with the rattail

weather has been great for airing out the house from the summer.

  • Your food always looks so delicious...and I haven't eaten breakfast, getting close to lunch time...want to mail me some of your dishes?!? =)

  • That sounds good except for the brussel sprouts   And the pear muffies look good too.  I bet the pineapple ones would be yummy too.

  • There's an interesting kind of food in that fridge.....meow.

funny how long it takes me to notice things, has the "little" extra bit in the page header image always been there? If so, then I just now noticed it. Reminds me of something, that I can't remember the source, but I remember the meaning. :)

  • I always get the impression that you could make something delicably good out of anything in the kitchen.
