update:
i fixed another deal and got the pictures off the cam. there's 18, though, i'll want to post. dunno to wait til tomorrow or do it today. my page already has a lot of pics to load up...
the trip was fun, it really wasn't as bad as it sounds. the drive home was rainy and dark, but the only really bad thing was the alarm going off before we got home.
also noticed, we have egg fruits on that eggplant we planted back at easter!!! 3!!! there are 7 bell peppers doing thier thing and 10 jalepinos.
i forgot to mention i found an earring with a sparkly in it on that alabama camping trip (i am an accidental treasure hunter on vacation)...
also, we caught/lured the kitten and it was brought to the shelter on friday before we took off.
this texas trip...HOOO-EEEE..it took about 9 1/2 hours to get to the destination (little bit of road construction). but the trip back... | >
now that, THAT...grumble, something like 12 hours to get home. SD, can you imagine if i'd swooped down to visit you...it woulda been even more forever before i got home. if i get to do that camping trip down there one day, we'll probably have better luck. | left to come home just before 9am | stopped in houston for lunch with a relative. migraine from houston (til bedtime) | there were still lanes closed off even though no construction was going on. before beaumont, there had been 2 semi's jackknife and stretch them across our side of the highway...that was like a 2 or so hour detour. | so we get about 5 minutes from home, my mil calls to see if we alive...my migraine deals with that til we get in the driveway. | get in the house, realise why i rather someone watching the house (not the cats), the alarm system has gone off and has been going off since electricity went out. we are assuming the alarm was going off for about 6 hours and 16 minutes (looking at the oven clock that comes back on to 1200, now read 6:16, and hoping it was from the pm). it was now just after 9pm
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, home "were i want to go, home..." (coldplay)
DO have some pictures of were we were in texas, and also had a picnic in palmetto state park. glad we got that visit out the way. my family next. anyways, when he takes the pics off the cam, i'll post. the grandfathers' old barn and all is oldfashioned, 1910 charm. (i got the background story, and got to tour thru the family home).

That driving part sounds pretty crappy.
But it's good that you got to see the family.

ohhhh my gosh. that is one hell of a drive home. soooo glad you didn't end up adding time for the visit in galveston. you know, there are times for it and then there are times not. evidently it just wasn't the weekend for it no matter what. yeek.
glad the stuff outside the roadtrip part was good, though.
