been busy. missed those activities this weekend. partially got rained out, had things to fix, and had a surprise visit from the 'rents.
<---was dying for sticky notes on my computer but without actual paper sticky notes. so h.m. went on a quest. it was successful (here). the thing he found was one where we can send sticky notes to and fro, and each sticky can be made specific...you can make them different colours, give them varying transparency, make them always on top, change font... and he found a nifty shorthand keystroke list (easy to make them all disappear or whatever)! mine look kinda like stained glass. piled on top each other. i need to clean up that desktop again...
working on a camp gear bag made of blue canvas (picture when it's finished and packed). has pockets inside for (stove) propane cans, thermos, lantern, flashlight, tent fix it kit, stove/stand, etc...

found some sweater material in remnant section, and a couple other fabrics to go with the patterns i bought yesterday...pattern packet of cargoshorts/pants/capris and shirt pattern to make a few different-but-same shirts.
changes are brewing for the site. long overdue. i'm growing.

I have that post it notes program...it's great isn't it =)
I was wondering if yall made it to any of those festivals. Good luck with your new sewing projects. I can't wait to see the new look. I want one on mine too, but I really like the old one, so...
yes jen, i LOVE these desktop stickies...they are so fun!!!
if anyone is interested, you can get the sticky note program here
My hunni has made me several bags/carriers for camping gear, several of which would attach to my bicycle. She started out with canvas, then switched to tafetta (sp?), and then ripstop nylon. They all have their different advantages. Some of her ideas came from the "Sewing For The Outdoors" book.
dm024, very cool, i'll have to look into that book!!!

i use real stickies on my computer... it gets pretty glommed up by weeks end...
tres awesome. have downloaded stickies so sis and i can leave stuff for each other as reminders.
Wow that stiky notes app is awsome.
Thanks for the linkage.
as far as the gear bag goes, if you make it so the heavy stuff is on the inside (closest to you) it will be more ez to tote around.Sounds like a rad idea.
I'm attempting salmon cakes as part of the uh....6 course dinner my friend and I are making for these four boys with HUGE appetites.
I hope my experiment turns out well and doesn't poison anyone!
