  • the day started off with him going into work and i, applying window tint/insulation. then we ate strawberries, apples, grapes, cheese and crackers for lunch.

earlier this week and weekend, i'd given him a monkey mobile/windchime. to remind him of the barrel-o-monkeys he is. he'd found the perfect rolling pin for me and had been dying to give it up. after we ate yesterday, i gave him an asmat sago tray with a lizard design on it (cuz i think it's cute he has a lizard army). he presented me with yet another perfect thing i'd always dreamed of...a locket! it has the a picture of him in it and the cats making faces on the other side. i can see it already, somebody will ask "who's in your locket?" and i'll say "my main man" and they'll look and turn to me and ask "who, jesus?"

after eating, we went and saw xmenII. i was very happy with what they did with nightcrawler. they could have done a little more, but maybe next time. and i can't wait for phoenix to come...that is another old nickname (computer) i used to use. oh, and hunnimon gave me a flower, too!

i was reminded of some bug incidents when i was reading MystikalMagik, yesterday. this one time i went to go check the mail, when i lived with my folks. went out the front door which was hardly ever used. a huge palmetto roach (skateboarder) dropped on my head right as i opened the door and it seemed to do a jig before meandering onto my face as i screamed bloody murder and went into convulsions trying to get it away from me.

another time i had traveled to another state to keep an eye on my sisters while thier mother was in a hospital. they said "there's a spider out there (screened patio) and our dog is out there, go get him!!!" i told them to go grab something to spray at the bug (mind you, after this incident i do not spray anything except wasps now). we get the dog in, i close the door behind me, walk towards spider, spray it. huge cloud forms (a good 3 feet in diameter). i run. and scream...because it seems to propel me into the house quicker. the dust cloud was hundreds of baby spiders that had been all over her body clinging on. CREEPY when it's coming toward you.

before both these incidences, i'd stay at a cousins house occasionally. i kept getting woken up and would be itchy. next morning, come to find out, it was roaches. their mother was all acting like it was normal. maybe for them it was, crap, get a fogger!!! she told me, "oh yeah, roaches crawl over everyone in thier sleep you just never knew it." thank you very much, no they don't. when you're poor, there is no food or drink for the roaches to get to. only time they'd come in was if it rained too hard. but at the cousins house, there were a gaggle of people living there, dropping food and drink everywhere and not cleaning it up.

present situation, we have had maybe 7 roaches in the house in as many years. when ya see them, they're dead, cuz the boy cat has already ripped they little heads off as soon as they come in.
