can i have some groceries with those bags?
yeah, got a work weekend this weekend. ripping out old counter top in kitchen and the ancient sink, and hopefully both porch roofs will be worked on. picked up some fresh veggies to dip (peppers, radish, broccoli, baby carrots) and some chips and salsa. gunna do steak and mushrooms on the grill. checked out fresh pineapple. wow, what a texture and taste difference (from the can)! ran out of butter last week, so the latest adventure is to ween myself off butter. doin' pretty good (haven't bought butter yet). picked up some green tea with lotus in it, some plain green tea and some darjeeling. and more of that nestle coffee stuff, we mainly drink it as a shake, all frosty.
went to clark creek, in mississippi this past weekend (about 3 hours from new orleans). they have waterfalls. first picture is from on top and the bigger version of this picture shows ripples way down at the bottom where the water goes.
and this second picture appears grotto-y. it really isn't. but the trails are cool cause you can take stairs to get down to the end of the waterfall and the main trails take you to the top of the waterfall. it was very hot, we will go again when it is way cooler. and i won't lose my hat and have to chug back half the trail and then go back to where i left sean. HUFFPUFF, i was turning colours.
as leaving, we forgot to get a picture of the jackass crossing sign, but here they are. all cute. that front one actually looked alarmed that i got out of the car to take a picture.
were given a cotton candy machine for our anniversary (thx jax). we tried it twice, and i have already packed it away. sean and i both think it is very creepy (we like it). you heat the machine up, then a teaspoon of sugar, then all of a sudden you vaguely see spiderweb looking formations, so you twirl them onto the cone. it's crazy!
i trimmed too many leaves off the squash, but looks ok, there is a squash flower, so everything must be ok. i haven't gotten lady bugs, so the aphids keep eatting the jalapeno flowers off. the bell peppers are resistant, but growing slow like the tomatoes. the potatoes seem fine, i probably need to get some more soil to mound up. have the pineapple crown drying so i can plant that too! and the eggplants, all three seeds decided to sprout, so i have to finish transplanting.

I was wonderin what happened to ya.
I see you've met my father (jackass in pic
).
Now thats an original gift idea, my daughter would be all too happy to get a cotton candy machine...I can hear her teeth rotting now
you'd think that making cotton candy would be a low-stress experience, but MAN you look away for one second and that stuff is piling up everywhere! sheesh...
you like creepy things. i like creepy things... yay for liking creepy things.. i think i should go back to studying chemistry?
LOL at the Oral surgery twins. I’m glad she’s doing okay. I was scared that I wouldn’t come out of the anesthesia myself but it all worked out. It only cost me $157 to have all 3 of my teeth out but the insurance covered the other $900.00. Gee sure am glad I have insurance. I had to take antibiotics, pain med and steroids (for swelling). I think the pain med mixed with one of those gave me a reaction. My chest hurt real bad like bad heartburn or a heart attack (although I don’t know how that feels). So I stopped taking the pain meds and started Aleve. It still hurts but I wouldn’t be able to take the pain meds now anyway because I am back at work since yesterday. Tomorrow I go to get the sutures out. Hopefully she will be able to keep the antibiotics down soon. She’s probably worn out and scared from the whole ordeal. I’m not miserable but my jaw feels kinds locked up. I wonder how long that will last. It is hard to open it too wide and I don’t know about the straw issue. I guess I’ll ask the doc tomorrow.
Brownies or german chocolate is fine with me. We are not starting the Atkins diet until next Monday because I had too much stuff still left in the house to cook since I didn’t cook too much last week. Dustin’s birthday is July 14th. Amber Boch is the beer, I think. I’ll ask Bri to be sure. And Dustin may have to bring his truck because I want to go grocery shopping at Super Wal-Mart and to go to World Market and I’m sure he won’t want to tag along. He also has to get Michele.
Is that the place that you were telling me about where you have to bring all of your own stuff and no bathrooms and such? It looks cool. But yeah the heat is too much lately. And it's only May.
